Ring several phones, then voicemail
A call to your number rings every phone you listed at the same time: desk phones, softphone apps, a cell phone. If nobody answers within the time you set, the caller goes to your voicemail box.
Before you start
- The server connected to your AI app, with your VoIP.ms API credentials saved or the server running on your device. How to connect
- Access to these areas, granted when you connect:
- Manage call flow
- Manage phone numbers
- Manage forwardings
- Manage voicemail
- View sub-accounts
What to ask
Copy this into your AI app and replace each highlighted blank with your own details. Leave out a line you don't need; the assistant asks about anything missing.
Make my VoIP.ms number [your number] ring these phones at the same time: [the phones, e.g. my desk phone and my cell 555-123-4567]. Ring for [seconds] seconds, then send the caller to voicemail box [mailbox number]. Show me each change before you make it.
If your AI app lists the server's workflows (in Claude, the + menu), you can pick “Ring several phones, then voicemail” (ring_phones_then_voicemail) instead and fill in the same details.
What VoIP.ms charges
VoIP.ms does not charge for ring groups. Ringing an outside number, such as a cell phone, is billed as an outgoing call at your per-minute rate.
VoIP.ms sets these prices; check its site for the current ones. This server's own plans are on the pricing page.
